Quick Information Update
As per the latest requests by the Liaoning Province Magnesium Office, all non-compliant kilns need to be shut down as of September 31.
Many factories are not inclined to sell their products to the market now. Instead, they prefer to stockpile the raw materials so that they can sell at higher price when those non-compliant kilns are shut down in the future.
If more and more factories tend to work like this, there will be inevitably a shortage of supply soon.
Driven by this trend, more and more factories have begun to buy in large quantities of magnesite ores as stock, it leads to magnesite ore price increased by about RMB 20/ton.
And also, coal price has rised by about RMB 100/ton from August 1st.
All these changes have made the finished products price of CCM powder increase by an average of RMB 50/ton (about usd 7/ton) in August.
