Magnesium Soap
Magnesium Soap
Metallic soaps, or Metallic long-chain carboxylates, are salts derived from fatty acids and available in different types and physical forms. Applications of metallic soaps are diverse such as:
• heat stabilizers for plastics (especially PVC),
• driers in paint or inks,
• waterproofing agents,
• fuel additives,
• personal Care and cosmetic products,
• component as lubricating greases, etc.
Most of these applications are related to the thermal properties of metallic soaps. Metallic soaps could also use as feed for thermal decomposition to produce bio-hydrocarbon.
Magnesium is a naturally occurring element that is found in many rocks and minerals. This makes it a relatively plentiful resource that can be used in a variety of products, including Magnesium Soap. Both magnesium oxide and magnesium hydroxide can be used to produce magnesium soap. Magnesium soap can be used industrially as an anticaking agent, acid neutralizer, heat stabilizer, antioxidant, thickener, demolding agent, hydrophobic agent, etc.
